Sal’s is a family owned and operated Rhode Island automotive repair facility. Located conveniently in Johnston Rhode Island, off 295 Exit 12A. Sal’s One Stop is a full service car, light duty truck and motorcycle repair shop. Established in 1996 after moving back from California, Sal was determined to provide the Rhode Island community with exceptional automotive service. With over 40 years experience in the automotive repair industry and being master certified in all phases of repair and electrical components, you can be assured no problem is beyond Sal’s expertise.

Sal’s Career.

Sal began his career here in Rhode Island starting out as an apprentice at an independent garage. Much like his establishment today, he started working on all makes and models. In addition to becoming a diesel mechanic for a few years before Sal decided to move to California.

Upon moving to California Sal landed a job as a manager at a BF Goodrich store. Quickly outgrowing that position Sal began to work for GM at a dealership. Starting out as a journeyman his love for learning the industry resulted in becoming the shop foreman. With years of training and experience at GM, Sal finally decided it was time he moved beyond his level of training. Sal took his expertise and finally started his own independent garage, a dream of his since childhood. Sal’s has now been in business in Johnston since 1996 and has a solid reputation within the Rhode Island community.

Currently Sal’s son Stephen is in training. Sal is teaching him the knowledge he as accrued over the years resulting in Stephen learning all phases of mechanical and electrical components. Stephen graduated high school in 2009 and immediately began  working for his father. With a few years under his belt now, Stephen is progressively gaining an insight into the industry. Stephen hopes to be able to provide the community with the same knowledge and trust that his father has instilled for many years to come.
